Pasta & Rice

Our rice is supplied from a company located in the NorthEast Piedmont (Italy) in the middle of "vercellese" in a land called "baraggia" . This is the area where the rice named denomination of protected origin of Baraggia Biellese and Vercellese is grown.

From their extensive list of rice we have chosen to supply; Carnaroli - ideal for excellent risottos and typical regional dishes. It combines with and enhances the widest range of flavors and foods; Vialone Nano which has a short, seemingly small, round grain that absorbs the flavoring well, retaining its firmness after cooking. It is prized in the cooking tradition of the Veneto and Mantua regions, where it is mainly used for risottos; and Polenta, obtained from a careful selection of semi-vitreous maize. Once it has been ground the product is partially refined to obtain a semi-rough flour ideal for rustic polenta.

A recent addition to our product line is pasta sourced from Antichi Pastai, a company based in Napoli; Air dried in the traditional way and made from Durum Wheat we stock all six varieties - pennacce, taccole, rigatoni, gnocchi, spaghetti, paccheri.
