Sauces

Our sauces perfectly accompany pasta traditionally made in the tiny village of Roccascalegna in the Abbruzzo region, situated 455 metres above sea level in the province of Chieti.

Here the family actually grow their own tomatoes to guarantee consistent quality - there are no artificial additives at all and the recipes kept pure and simple, just the same as they have been for generations.

During a trip in Abbruzzo we were introduced to Nicola Laurentis who took us to his house named Casina Rossa where we tasted most of his products including these sauces. These sauces really were, just like Mums so we placed an order there and then!

We stock four flavors on the shelf, traditional, tuscany, chilli and one with basil all of which come in 500g glass jars capped and finished off with a little paper hat and twine - perfect for the deli display !
